ice-cloud-b-300pxI guess there are no words to fully explain a Bengal experience :)

I was looking since a long time for my dream cat and was attracted to something very specific.  I understood after a few experiences that Bengals had changed my vision of cats.  Before the pattern, I was looking for a strong personnality and a very specific type.  After months of research I realized my heart was definitely linked to silvers.

Thank you Mara to have given me the opportunity to get Dazzledots Ice Cloud from your dream Cattery!  I am so lucky.

ice-cloud-a-300pxIce Cloud has a sweet temperament, she is smart and sharp, I can tell the energy you invested in your breeding when I interact with her.  She has an amazing type and became more and more georgeous becoming a lady, I could speak for hours about her top qualities but they simply stick to your vision you define so well on your website.

Her first reaction arriving by plane was to hug and make biscuits for hours, she was in a perfect shape and our relation didn't stop increasing since then.  She trains my mixed silver cat all day when she doesn't train on her cat wheel you made me discover, and she is very cooperative during cat shows even if she doesn't like chemicals smells there.

Your ethical attitudes dealing with me reflects your passion for Bengals.

Again, there are no words to thank you enough for making that sweet subtle experience with Ice Cloud possible.

Mushu

In the fall of 2009 I started looking for a family pet.   It was suggested to me by a friend that I check out Bengal cats because they have a high activity level and I was looking for an active pet.  At that point I researched many catteries and was unable to find one who socialized their cats to a level that I felt comfortable introducing into my home.  Upon complaining to a young woman, she came forth with the name of a cattery right here in Victoria who was known for having well adjusted socialized cats - Dazzledots Bengals.

I contacted Mara and paid a visit to her cattery - at that point I knew I would get my cat from Dazzledots.  A few months later I brought home my little man "Mushu" who the entire family fell in love with instantly.  Mara had advised me that some Bengals are fine alone, but others prefer a "buddy" - within 2 days we knew Mushu needed a buddy and Mara suggested his half sister - we called her Misha.

Mara was wonderful to deal with and sent us home saying that if there was anything she could help or advise us on - she would be there for us.  The two cats thrived together as best friends and we had our wonderful family pets that we were looking for.

Mushu Hugging Misha

In October of 2010, Mushu made some poor decisions of what food was and ate some pipe cleaners that were attached to cat toys... among other things.  He became ill and we discovered that he must have surgery to remove them but that he should be fine thereafter.  Mushu developed bacterial peritonitis from the surgery and was very ill needing blood transfusions.  I had contacted Mara because I truly believe that she knows Bengals very well and would know how to advise me through this process.  Mara was beside Mushu and I for days offering any and all support she could.  To say that she was there for us was an understatement - she carried me emotionally for days.  Ultimately, Mushu lost his fight and passed away.  I was heart broken and grieving severely - Mara grieved with me.  Mara's support was above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined from a breeder.  Mara loves her cats and she cares immensely about them even after they leave her cattery.

I am not sure I will ever be able to adequately express to Mara how much I appreciated her support during our time of need.

I told my experience with Mara to my vet and his response was: "I'm proud of her and she is a good example to set forth for other breeders.  It makes me happy to know that there are breeders out there who really care for their cats and their clients".  I agree, Mara truly and deeply cares - and this is abundantly evident upon meeting her.

We are now in a position where we can see that our cat Misha is missing her half brother Mushu and is longing a feline friend to play with.   It is with great confidence that we would only consider another Bengal from Dazzledots.  Mara is a "top notch" breeder who I will continue to recommend to anyone looking for Bengals.

moonglow3The first time I saw a Bengal my heart literally flipped.  It was so incredible and for me, a dream come true.  I love wild cats since I can remember and to think I could have a lookalike kitten was too much.  I started my search and spent long hours learning about Bengals and visiting many, many Web sites and talking with different breeders.  Somehow, it was difficult to decide for many reasons.

After two months, I found Mara`s unique Dazzledots.  Right away I could see the difference with all the others; the site offered extensive and well-organized information and best of all: her cats were being fed an excellent diet of raw meet and receiving all the best care.  Even the cat litter was top of the line!  The kittens were all so top quality in their looks too, difficult to resist.

I had heard of TGC & DCH Drinkwater Black Ice and I admired his looks.  I wished for a cat like that.  What a surprise to see that Dazzledots had one lookalike available!!  I had no hesitation, after talking to Mara and seeing the pictures, I knew this kitten was for me and I knew I could trust Mara to provide the best service.  The icing on the cake: it was a Dazzledots kitten.

The wait was long and difficult.  My children were soooo waiting for this kitten!  Mara was kind to provide pictures and news and that helped.  When we saw our Moonglow (she is a silver Bengal) for the first time....what can I say...I thank God for Mara and Dazzledots!  The whole family was taken by her beauty and for me it was love at first sight.  She is a very active and energetic kitten and very smart too.  She absolutely adores boxes, comes when we call her name and `talks` to us.  She gives kisses while holding our faces; she is absolutely adorable!

If somebody asked me where to find a top quality Bengal from a top quality breeder, I would not hesitate a minute to recommend Dazzledots Bengals!  Thank you Mara for your generosity and for giving me the opportunity to enjoy wilderness in my own house.

Dazzledots Cattery - Testimonial from a happy, two-Bengal family.

I write this testimonial with a purring Bengal cat in my lap.  Allow me to share my joy with you.  Our first Dazzledots Bengal arrived in our home in the spring of 2009.  By the time Bagheera (registered pedigree name) was 10 months old, my partner decided we had to have a second Dazzledots Bengal.  Felix (registered pedigree name) joined our family in the spring of 2010.

Mara Summers of Dazzledots Bengals ensured that our relationship with each of our Bengal cats got off to a great start by making the introduction and bonding process an incredibly positive and nurturing experience for both us and the kittens.  The quality of physical and emotional care that Mara provides to her cats, coupled with her breeding expertise, is obvious in the health, looks, and personalities of Dazzledots Bengals.  Mara demonstrates her wealth of knowledge about Bengal health, vaccine and nutrition requirements in every conversation.  Coupled with the outstanding looks and temperaments of Mara’s cats, there is no question in my mind as to why Bengal breeders and owners consider Mara to be one of the best comprehensive Bengal breeders in the world.

Anyone who contacts Mara by phone, email, or in person will quickly be impressed by her integrity and passion for Bengals.  Purchasing a kitten from Mara has many benefits.  Mara is most hospitable to would-be owners who wish to bond with their kittens before they are ready to leave the cattery.  Before each of our Bengals joined our family at three months of age, I spent time every week at the cattery snuggling and playing with my kitten.  The pictures of the cattery on the website don’t lie.  The environment is so cat-focused, so clean and odour-free, and filled with so many stimulating toys, perches and outdoor enclosures that I challenge anyone to find a better cattery environment anywhere.  Even after taking our kittens home, Mara is always pleased to hear from me and takes time to answer any questions or concerns I have.

Through ongoing research and consultation with other breeders, Mara has a wealth of leading-edge knowledge about feline health and nutrition that she is more than willing to share.  She has parasite and vaccine protocols tailored to the special health needs of Bengals.  Be sure to ask her about her feeding regime that produces kittens that are significantly larger, healthier and more affectionate than other Bengals I’ve seen.  Mara hand-feeds kittens beginning at 4 weeks of age, resulting in kittens positively conditioned to run toward human hands and nurtured into developing excellent personalities.

Taken together, these protocols helped ensure that our Bengals came home healthy.  Since then, I have found that caring for our Bengals, and maximizing their potential, has been an enjoyable matter of practicing what I have learned from Mara about the care of cats, and the Bengal breed in particular.

Although Mara’s first breeding priority is health, her Bengals have two more outstanding qualities related to how they are bred and raised.  A survey of different Bengal breeder websites quickly reveals that Mara has some of the most stunning Bengals in the world in terms of colours, rosetting and type.  Mara’s breeding cats consistently produce gorgeous kittens that are frequently sold internationally.  Another tribute to the quality of Bengals Mara breeds and the quality of care she provides them is apparent in the number of other breeders who speak highly of Mara on their websites.

While breeders may be more interested in the honours bestowed on Dazzledots at cat shows, for our family, our beautiful Bengals are most prized for their incredibly sweet, interactive, playful, and affectionate temperaments.  Forget anything you may have heard about Bengals being grouchy.  Dazzledots, and Mara Summers, is at the forefront of breeders transforming the temperament of the Bengal breed.  We couldn’t be happier with our two guys and we’re so proud of our well-mannered gentlemen when we take them out for walks on their leashes in public.

Dazzledots’ Bengals have enriched our lives with superior cats in terms of health, looks and temperament.  For me, Mara has proven her knowledge, ethics, and care over and over.  The quality of the cats she breeds, the level of care she provides to her cats and to new owners with her on-going, after-sale support, make her cats more valuable with a smoother transition from cattery to home that money can’t buy.  For these reasons I highly recommend would-be Bengal owners contact Dazzledots, and Mara Summers, first and last.

Wishing you all the joy that a Bengal from Mara Summers can bring,

One day I was looking at various cat breeds and came across Dazzledots Bengals. I had never seen a Bengal cat in person before so I called Dazzledots Bengals and asked if we could come view the cattery. When we arrived we met Mara and her beautiful cats. Her cattery was very clean and well built and you could immediately tell she took very good care of her cats and loved them very much. I instantly fell in love with the Bengal cat breed and decided to proceed with purchasing a kitten not long after. I was suprised when Mara encouraged us to come visit the kitten we purchased as much as we liked. This showed the kind of dedication and love she has for her cats and that she wants her cats to be well socialized.

Mara had recommended that if at all possible we continue using the raw food diet that she feeds all her cats. We decided that we would like to try feeding a raw food diet as well as this is the healthiest possible diet for cats. She provided us documentation, websites, suggestions on where to buy certain products even a few pounds of raw food to get us started. We found this to be exceptionally kind and helpful. Thanks again Mara!

When we got our kitten home he adjusted to his new surroundings very quickly. Within 30 minutes he was running around like he owned the place. He was very healthy and up to date on all his shots. He quickly made friends with our Siamese kitten and they are now the best of friends!

I cannot recommend Mara and Dazzledots Bengals enough! If you are looking for a Bengal look no further. If you are not looking for a Bengal you should be. Both Mara and Dazzledots Bengals are fantastic! One word of warning though: once you have a Bengal it won’t be long before you start wanting another one ;)

Thanks Dazzledots!
